Be a content creator

Create
Practical and inspiring content

Find a topic of interest to you.  Create a video tutorial, podcast, blog post, or downloadable PDF “cheat sheet”.  For clinical skills content, keep the info short, clear, and as practical as you can.  Before you start working on your topic, check the Content Inventory Page to make sure you’re not duplicaticating existing entries.  Then, add your topic to the inventory, and start creating yout content.

Create your content

Once you’ve made sure your topic is not already in our inventory, go ahead and start creating.  Tip: it is a good idea to register your topic to the inventory right away, even if your piece is not finished.  This will prevent multiple people or teams from working inadvertently on the same topic at the same time.  After creating your content, deliver it to the K-hub team via email or assigned drive folder.

Please note, all content submissions must go through a process of editing and approval, prior to publication on K-hub. Here is how it works:

1. Find your Topic

Identify a topic you’re interested in.  It could be, for example, something related to clinical skills, tips on how to do something better, patient care, evidence-based practices, research topics, geen initiatives, self-care, leadership, innovation, ethics, etc.

4. Upload Content

Once your masterpiece is ready, send it over to K-hub’s production team for processing.  Content coming from multiple teams and individuals, can be captured simultaneously by our Content Reservoir.  Just send your stuff to: knowledgehubcentral@gmail.com.  We’ll take care of the rest.

2. Check Inventory

Before you start working on your content, make sure your topic doesn’t already exist in our inventory.  If you don’t see your topic, go ahead and add it to the inventory.  If you stop working on it, please remove from inventory.

5. Content Review

All content will go through an editing, and approval process.  This is to ensure content reflects the latest accepted practices of our O.R.  Also, there will be editing of grammar, audio/visual elements, lenght of piece, etc.  We want to make sure our content is of the highest quality, both in form, and essence.

3. Create Content

Capture photos, videos, audio files, and put your content together.  You choose what format to use: blog post, video tutorial, podcast, workshop series, etc.  Be creative, put your style on what you do, keep it interesting, practical, and fun.

6. Web Development

After content has been reviewed and approved, the design phase begins.  Our team will organize the content you kindly submitted, in a way that is functional, as well as visually appealing.  Our job is to make the user experience as enjoyable, useful, and inspiring as possible.

7. Final Editing

After the content has been arranged into awesome-looking web pages, there’s one last round of corrections to ensure we didn’t miss anything.  In this phase, we also test functionality, and style.

8. Publishing Content

After the last round of corrections, content is finally published into the corresponding section of K-hub.  Make sure to check the website often to keep updated on new material.  We’ll also send notifications by email to let you know of any relevant content.

9. Feel Good!

Feel good for having participated in this initiative, and therefore, having contributed to the improvement of our O.R., and the professional development of our team.  Pat yourself on the back. Today you are a superhero!
